Why Japanese?
Having visited Japan many times, I've become really interested in the language and culture. Being Taiwanese, I also feel a certain connection to Japan, adding to the fact that my grandparents speak a little Japanese (a relic of colonial times), and that both my parents have studied in Japan as well. From a linguistic standpoint, I'm also really interested in the way Mandarin, Taiwanese, and Japanese relate to one another.
Also, Japanese sounds really cool.
And also, Japanese food is the best.
Challenges so far: adapting to reading and writing in a different alphabet has been somewhat difficult, but nonetheless fun.
Most excited about: being able to order food the next time I go to Japan.
Hi! My name is Satoru Ikeda. I’m 19 years old and a student of Ritsumeikan University. I live in Kyoto but I go to Osaka in order to go school. Kyoto is very traditional city. I like maccha very much. My family has 4 people. They are my parents, my little brother and me. My little brother is 11 years old and very cute. My hobby is listening to music and going skiing. In this summer, I went to Japanese Rock Music Festival for 3 times. It was very exciting. Then I’m looking forward to go skiing in this winter. I want winter to come soon. Nice to meet you!

Hello Satoru Ikeda! It's nice to meet you. 私は2009年に大阪と京都 に行きました。 I enjoyed the trip very much. 関西 is a fun place to visit in Japan, with lots of good food and beautiful sights. The only time I have ever been skiing was in 北海道, and I had a lot of fun!

I have been to California a few times before. I visited Los Angeles and San Francisco. California is a beautiful place with great weather. However, I have not heard of Victor Valley before. ビクターバレは、どんあどころですか。
